The 2012-2013 rugby season would see me coming back to the East Coast Cripplers in what was sure to be a rebuilding year. After the amazing season with the Raleigh Sidewinders, the other Cripplers who transferred and I decided it was time to get back home and build up our own program.

Two seasons before, we lost two of our starting line. In one case being classed out for having too much f...

If you remember a while back when I had that fundraiser (that many of you helped in, thank you again), you should be happy to know that in January, I received my new rugby chair from Vesco Metal Craft!

The old chair I have been using for over 6 years and it definitely shows (I’m pretty sure there are 15 pounds ad...

Rugby Chair Fundraiser A Success

Posted by Eric Ingram on October 29, 2012 at 5:20 PM Comments comments (0)

The Rugby Chair fundraiser I ran last month was way more beneficial than I thought it could be, bringing in $1225. Although this fell short of the $2000 goal, it is more than I hoped for and helps cut the costs for me a great deal.

I sincerely thank each and every one of you who contributed and I will keep you as updated and involved in ...

This season was my most accomplished season yet. For the first time, I did not compete with the East Coast Cripplers. ECC underwent some personnel changes and due to this, had to take aseason off to rebuild. Instead, I played for formal rivals, the Raleigh Sidewinders.

What I thought would be a tense ...

Well, the second tournament is right around the corner....tomorrow to be exact. The last two months of training and planning comes to this. I will be ready, the team will be ready. The loss against Shepherd in Charlotte has weighed heavily on our shoulders, and the mistakes we made there will never happen again. No one likes to lose and this was my/our motivation.

         This tournament will...

Charlotte Wrap Up

It’s been a while since I’ve updated, my apologies, I am working towards becoming more active and regular with these posts. The Charlotte tournament went very well for me and my new team, the Raleigh Sidewinders. It was a true testament to how hard we worked in preparation.

Since we had only been practicing together for a little over a month p...

First Tournament of the Season

Posted by Eric Ingram on October 3, 2011 at 3:10 PM Comments comments (1)

If you've read my "About" section, you know my extensive history with the East Coast Cripplers. Well due to certain circumstances, the Cripplers aren't actually competing this season. Because of this, for this season at least, I will be playing with former rivals, the Raleigh Sidewinders. What I thought would be an interesting and awkward situation has turned out to become what I think will be the strongest team in the eastern United States and most likely one of the ...
